Sam Cassell-G- Clippers
Sam Cassell pulled up with an apparent right groin injury late in Wednesday's win over the Sonics. He was in and out of the game at the end, but finished the night on the bench.
The Los Angeles Clippers pulled him late on the defensive end, but would sub him back in for offense. Despite Elton Brand saying after the game that Sam Cassell tweaked an ankle, it appears to be a right groin injury according to the television crew, so his status going forward is going to be in doubt. He finished tonight's game with 16 points, five boards, five assists and a three, and the Los Angeles Clippers are hoping he's healthy after the loss of Shaun Livingston. If Sam Cassell misses time with this injury, look for Daniel Ewing to suddenly have some value. Paul Westphal suggested that it's possible that Sam Cassell could miss a couple weeks with a groin injury. Check back on Thursday for more information on his status.
