The story has been circulating about lightweight boxing challenger Manny Pacquiao who cheered for the Celtics and picked them to win the title when most everyone outside of Boston didn't give them a chance. The Celtics got ringside seats to cheer their biggest fan on in his title fight against David Diaz in Las Vegas. He didn't disappoint and dominated the fight from start to finish and afterwards, several of the Celtics including Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo and Sam Cassell celebrated with Manny in his dressing room. Great stuff
On Thursday, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Sam Cassell Tony Allen, Kendrick Perkins, and Big Baby Davis were all seen celebrating at Jet nightclub at the Mirage and Fix restaurant and bar at the Bellagio. And then Pierce, Garnett, Ray Allen and Sam Cassell were seen celebrating at the Palms Pool and Bungalows on Friday. Saturday, they attended the fight at Mandalay Bay. Hopefully they will remember that they have another season coming up in a couple of months will stop celebrating in time to get to work on defending their title and bringing #18 to Boston. Maybe this is why it is so hard for Champions to repeat... too much celebrating.
